Inspired by Beneath the Turning Sky and Luru Magazine’s third issue, Nature & Nurture, this creative workshop invites participants to explore the intersections of memory, ecology, and imagination through art-making.
Beginning with an exploration of the exhibition, participants will draw from the artworks, their own lived experiences, and the natural world to create imagined beings, landscapes, and visual narratives. Through speculative image-making, the workshop encourages participants to think beyond familiar ways of seeing and consider new relationships between people, place, and the more-than-human world.
Taking place as part of Disability Pride Month, the workshop is grounded in the values of accessibility, inclusivity, and care. Designed as a welcoming space for creativity and conversation, it embraces diverse ways of learning, making, and participating, inviting everyone to engage at their own pace and in ways that feel meaningful to them.
No prior artistic experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
