Devika Sundar and Roshni Bhatia
Facilitated by The Open Studio Project, a collaborative practice by artists and art psychotherapists Devika Sundar and Roshni Bhatia, this workshop invites participants into an exploration of memory, myth, and imagination through creative practice.
Beginning with a shared exploration of the exhibition Beneath the Turning Sky, participants will draw from their own lived experiences, memories, and imagination to create visual narratives that weave together inner and outer worlds and landscapes. Through image-making, they are invited to explore the meeting points between memory, myth, place, and the natural world, considering how stories—both inherited and imagined—shape the ways we understand ourselves and the environments we inhabit. Rather than focusing on artistic skill or finished artworks, the workshop emphasizes the creative process as a space for curiosity, reflection, dialogue and meaning-making.
Taking place as part of Disability Pride Month, the workshop is grounded in the values of accessibility, inclusivity, and care. Designed as a welcoming space for creativity and conversation, it embraces diverse ways of learning, making, and participating, inviting everyone to engage at their own pace and in ways that feel meaningful to them.
No prior artistic experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
