The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) is south India’s first major private museum. Showcasing a vast collection of paintings, sculptures, popular prints, photographs and textiles, MAP’s mission is to take art and culture to the heart of the community, making it accessible to diverse audiences. The museum is now open to the public, from Tuesday to Sunday.

The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) was founded in the year 2016 by Abhishek Poddar, one of India’s most prominent collectors.
MAP is a not-for-profit institution that currently receives no governmental funding and is a unit and major project of the Art & Photography Foundation. MAP is governed by its Board of Directors and advised by its International Advisory Committee.
Abhishek Poddar is the Founder of MAP. He is a businessman and a prominent collector and patron of the arts in India. He is involved in various family group companies with diverse interests ranging from trading and export, to tea, industrial explosives, travel and retail. Poddar also serves on the advisory committees of several cultural institutions including the Deccan Heritage Foundation and FIND (Foundation Inde-Europe de Nouveaux Dialogues or the India-Europe Foundation for New Dialogues) headquartered in Rome.

You will need to register to attend a MAP event. Please visit the Events page to view the calendar and register for any event of your choice. After completing the registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of the event.
Currently, there is no cancellation process for a MAP event.
MAP organises a mixture of free and paid events which are available for all viewers. For a paid event, once you register you will be redirected to Razorpay to make the payment. If you sign up as a member, you can get free access to most paid events.

We currently do not offer a free trial for the membership. However, many sections of our website are available for free for a limited period of time to give you a preview of our membership access.

Currently, our subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, all of the paid features related to your account will expire at the end of your billing cycle.
