Walking the Dogs. Photograph by Sabir Ahmed.
Black and white photography is one of the oldest forms of photographic expression; and one that has been undergoing a revival for the last few years. The charms of photographing in black and white are evident — great tonal and textural play, a wide variety of available, expressive renditions, and an image that seems to cut right to the heart of the subject matter without the “distraction” of colour.
Have you ever wondered how to develop your own film and make prints at home? Join us as Sabir Ahmed takes us through this process and get a chance to create your own B&W print. This workshop focuses on the practical aspects of black and white photography; from capturing the image, to processing, image editing and finally printing.
This event has been conceptualised as part of the exhibition, With great ease: The photography of T. S. Satyan.
Please Note: This is an introductory workshop that requires basic knowledge in digital or analog photography.
This event is fully booked.
