The workshop evolves from the core ideas of the film Nocturnes. We will together experience, discuss, and go deeper into the interface between duration and attention through a range of guided individual and group exercises: listening to field recordings, viewing film excerpts, taking photographs and videos, and recording sounds. You will have an opportunity to explore and interpret the world around you through images, sounds, and unexpected ways in which they interact and speak to each other. No prior technical knowledge is required. All we ask is for you to be present with an open and curious mind.

Attending the screening of Nocturnes on 19 June is highly recommended.

This event is held in conjunction with our ongoing permanent exhibition Beneath the Turning Sky.
