A chronology of Indian art in its digi avatar at this Bengaluru museum
“The mission behind the recently opened Museum of Art and Photography in Bangalore is to make the museum experience relevant for the youth rather than it being about history. “It began as a personal collection but soon I realised that it was unfair to have it enjoyed by just a few people. This is when we decided to open it up and share it and thus the seed for the museum was born,” says MAP’s founder and trustee, Abhishek Poddar whose personal collection of over 7,000 artworks gave rise to the idea of the museum.”
