Amit Dutta, a Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) graduate in film direction, has garnered numerous accolades throughout his career. His films have been honoured with prestigious awards, such as the FIPRESCI International Film Critics Award at the Oberhausen Film Festival in Germany, the Gold Mikaldi in Bilbao, Spain, the Golden Conch, and the Best Film of the Festival award at the Mumbai International Film Festival.
He has also received the John Abraham National Award from the Federation of Film Societies of India in Kerala, as well as four National Awards from the President of India, recognizing his excellence in audiography, cinematography, and special jury contributions.
