1111Join us for a guided walkthrough of the Living Botanicals installation in the MAP’s Sculpture courtyard led by its grower Kush Sethi. Kush is a gardener and a forager from Delhi who has helped us create a living and breathing space, in collaboration with Architect Bhavana La Noche. In May, he returns to engage our audiences with gardening and walkthroughs of the plants in this installation.

Come along to hear tales behind this garden’s inception, behind-the-scenes and stories of plants from Hortus Malabaricus to Bangalore. Spend time in this living ecosystem observing plants from the lens of an explorer. We have also provided a field kit of assorted lenses which will allow you to zoom into the ecology of this garden. Bring a diary to draw, press things and take notes.

Kush Sethi

Kush Sethi is a gardener, forager and educator based out of New Delhi. Formally trained in Green Chemistry, he transitioned to urban ecology through field research in the Delhi Ridge. Inspired by ecosystem resiliency, he began a gardening practice around understanding problems in manicured urban landscaping and finding wilder, self-sustainable approaches.

Kush has visited to teach gardening and ecology modules at the School of Planning and Architecture, Ashoka University, Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Tech, Azim Premji University, IIAD, and Delhi’s Dr. BR Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence.
