Tamboori Siddaraju
Join us for a captivating performance by Tamboori Siddaraju and his ensemble from Malavalli, in the district of Mandya, Karnataka. This renowned folk artist will be performing a mesmerising rendition of Male Madappa Kavya, the divine protector of forests, through folk songs accompanied by the tamburi (a traditional stringed instrument).
The performance uniquely preserves the spiritual and cultural essence of this folk epic, offering audiences a genuine connection to our rich cultural heritage. This is more than just a performance – it’s an opportunity to experience the living heritage of Karnataka’s folk traditions, preserved and presented by one of its most dedicated practitioners.
The performance is part of BLR Hubba’s sub festival, Gala Gala gaddala.
Gala-Gala-Gaddala (#3G) is a cultural carnival celebrating Karnataka’s rich heritage through music, dance, theatre, and more! Co-curated by Lekha Naidu and Jangama Collective, Bangalore for BLR Hubba, this festival embodies joy, tradition, and Karnataka’s Spirit.
