MAP’s sculpture courtyard transforms into a garden with Living Botanicals — a space where plants native to the subcontinent grow, change, and are cared for over time.

Join us for a guided walk led by architect Bhavana Kumar of Kumar La Noce and urban gardener Kush Sethi as they share the process and vision behind this living installation.

Bhavana Kumar

Bhavana Kumar (India, 1985) is the co-founder of Kumar La Noce, an Indo-Italian architecture and design studio. She is and architect and has a B.Arch from RVCE, Bangalore, India and an MA in Housing and Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London.

She has been a recipient of the Gurukul scholarship from SPICMACAY to study Buddhist art and philosophy.

Kush Sethi

Kush Sethi is a gardener, forager and educator based out of New Delhi. Formally trained in Green Chemistry, he transitioned to urban ecology through field research in the Delhi Ridge. Inspired by ecosystem resiliency, he began a gardening practice around understanding problems in manicured urban landscaping and finding wilder, self-sustainable approaches.

Kush has visited to teach gardening and ecology modules at the School of Planning and Architecture, Ashoka University, Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Tech, Azim Premji University, IIAD, and Delhi’s Dr. BR Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence.

He has consulted on community focussed sustainability projects for Arts and Culture institutes like Deutsches Museum Munich, Site Gallery Sheffield, KultureForum Witten and Übersee-Museum.
