Reimagine your museum experience with our digital installations at MAP! These experiences offer visitors diverse ways to interact with the museum’s collection.
Our Lower Ground Floor features a variety of digital experiences that combine technology and art in innovative and exciting ways.
1. Kaleidoscope Room
The Kaleidoscope is probably MAP’s most instagrammed spot. With its multiple screens, mirrors and fascinating visuals, standing in this room puts you in an immersive art journey. A fun fact about this room is that you can upload your own images, which will then be played on the screens. So next time you come to MAP, surprise your friends by featuring them in the Kaleidoscope Room, and turn an ordinary photo into an engaging digital artwork.
2. Step into a Painting
As the name suggests, immerse yourself in artworks from the MAP collection. Experience the world of Bengali folk art with Jamini Roy’s paintings, and artworks of flowers from Bouquet of hope, brought to life on a 360° screen.
3. Hologram
Did you know that you can meet the world-renowned artist M. F. Husain right here at MAP? MAP and Accenture Labs have collaborated to present India’s first conversational digital hologram of this iconic artist. You can interact with the M. F. Husain hologram, ask him questions, and listen to his stories!
4. 3D experiences
Experience sculptures in another dimension with MAP’s 3D experience. Its features allow you to step inside the artwork, with sound and visuals that bring every detail to life.
