In Celestial Company brings to the foreground those that have shimmered at the edges, supporting, accompanying and carrying divine protagonists. These vahanas, companions and retinue of deities in mythology are depicted in almost all imagery of divine beings—however, rarely are they explored as figures in their own right.
This digital exhibition creates rich engagement with a selection of sculptures through interactive 360 degree viewing. It unravels their stories, explores their symbolism, characteristics and transformative journeys, while prompting curiosity with questions on specific attributes of each artwork.
