Christine Barthe, Prachi Gupta
Constituted from the legacy of two major historical collections, the photography collection of Musée du Quai Branly is one of the most comprehensive in the world, representing different cultures and nations. In 2006, the collection was revived through a variety of activities and engagements including acquisitions, exhibitions, and support to contemporary creations. These initiatives enable the museum to create connections not only between the 19th and 21st centuries, but also between many worlds and perspectives.
Join curator Christine Barthe as she walks us through highlights of the museum’s photographic collection and its approach of looking at art and photography. There will be a discussion with Barthe and MAP Archivist, Prachi Gupta after the presentation, followed by a Q&A.
This is a physical event at the Bangalore International Centre.
There is limited parking available near the venue. We encourage you to use public transportation.
