Join our monoprinting workshop where we explore a unique and versatile printmaking technique and learn how to create one-of-a-kind works of art. Learn the basics of monoprinting, including how to prepare a printing surface, mix inks, use a printing press – and of course, make your own print!

This event is conceptualised under our latest exhibition Rhyme Unbroken — Krishna Reddy as Artist and Perpetual Student.

Mohit Mahato

Born in 1993, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Mohit completed his Bachelor of Visual Arts in Painting, at the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru (2018). He received the Excellence Award in Painting during my BVA. He the co-founder of ‘Pagal Canvas’ (2017), an independent visual publication collective producing art books, comics, and other print cultures. He have also set up an independent print studio, ‘Pagal Canvas Backyard,’ in Bengaluru for my practice and also for other printmakers (2020-21).

He was invited to the ‘Fumetto’, International Comics Festival by Pro-Helvetia at Lucerne, Switzerland (2019). He received the Generator Co-operative Art Production Fund from Experimenter Gallery, Kolkata, in 2022.

Mohit currently working as an Gallery administrator for Gallery Sumukha, Bengaluru and is also represented by them. He lives and works in Bengaluru.
