Love Makes the Cut

Stories of love as seen through filmmakers’ lenses

In collaboration with Lekh-Haq, MAP recently held an online viewing of three short films that explore the theme of ‘love’. The films represent and imagine manifold expressions of the intricacies, abundance, and connectedness that can be found in the diverse experiences of love.

The film playlist includes:

Morome Ringiaai, directed by Chinmoy Barma

Paanchika (Five Pebbles), directed by Ankit Kothari

Kinaara, directed by Anureet Watta

Watch this conversation between the filmmakers — Ankit Kothari, Anureet Watta, and Chinmoy Barma, co-hosted by Terence-Hari Fernandes and video content creator, Debangana Kundu, which explores the technical and creative aspects of these films and filmmaking while having honest conversations about the pitfalls and successes of these works.

Presented in partnership with Lekh-Haq and supported by the Our Shared Cultural Heritage (OSCH) programme led by the British Council.
