As part of its ongoing theme of Creative Connections, MAP is pleased to present acclaimed author, Jonathan Gil Harris, in conversation with MAP’s Education & Outreach Department lead, Shilpa Vijayakrishnan.
The session explores Harris’ work on historical figures in India who embraced fluid identities, blurring the lines between borders geographic, cultural and religious. Underlining the need for us to examine the past in the present, it highlights the story of the fascinating and unique mystic, Sa’id Sarmad Kashani, dubbed the ‘Jewish Sufi Yogi Courtier of the Mughals’.
