This workshop invites participants to explore touch, imagination and feminist storytelling through making. Surrounded by Eisma’s playful and tactile world, participants will create their own hand puppets using socks, fabric, and simple craft materials.
We invite you to bring your stories on themes of care, transformation, and the power of gentle voices. Which have been important creatures, human or not, that have held you when you have needed it?
Drawing from feminist perspectives that value vulnerability, creativity, and shared experience, we encourage you to give shape and colour to these stories and characters, and let the sock become puppet characters, messengers of small, personal, and collective stories that are there to speak and listen, resist or comfort us.
This event is held in conjunction with our exhibition, mild tooth of milk, currently on display at the Dutch Warehouse in Fort Kochi.
