Five days, a museum full of inspiration, and a workshop unlike any other, join film maker Hansa Thapliyal for doll-making and stop-motion animation at MAP.
Using the museum as a creative playground, participants will work with everyday materials and scraps to build their own dolls, drawing inspiration from our exhibition Beneath the Turning Sky. Along the way, they’ll explore their ideas, experiment with storytelling, and find their own creative voice.
Through playful stop-motion exercises, these ideas will begin to move, building into a collaborative animated film screened at the end of Summer at MAP.
All materials are provided. Participants are welcome to bring a few discarded items from home to add a personal touch to their creations, and will need a mobile phone for the stop-motion activities.
Note:
-Please pack a lunch, snacks, and a water bottle for your child each day.
-Every registered participant receives a gift store voucher of equal value, redeemable at the MAP Gift Store.
-If you’re a working parent, our café space is open for you to use while your child is in session.
