Shikha Jain

Architect

Architect (Dr.) Shikha Jain has an extensive portfolio on cultural heritage of India that covers World Heritage, Cultural Landscapes, Conservation, Heritage based Development and Museum Planning of several projects for the Government of India, State Governments and international organizations such as the Getty Foundation and the World Monuments Fund. These also cover royal palaces of the Princely States and Modern Heritage Conservation funded by the Getty Foundation, USA. As an international expert, she has advised government organisations and UNESCO Offices in Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Myanmar and Indonesia. She is consultant to UNESCO New Delhi and, has represented ASI and, the Ministry of Culture, India in the UNESCO World Heritage Committee several times including as a bureau member for the 45 th Session of the World Heritage Committee.

Meera Iyer

Writer, Independent Researcher

Meera Iyer is a writer, independent researcher and the Convenor of the Bengaluru Chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). She is the author of a popular book on Bengaluru’s history. She  has written extensively on history, heritage and culture in several publications including Deccan Herald Seminar, The Hindu, Indian Express, Mint and HIMAL. Meera has a PhD in Forest Ecology from Michigan State University. She loves chocolate, coffee and potsherds.
