Interactive Climate Action: Learning through Play (Saturday)

Join us for an exciting workshop where we will tackle Bangalore’s climate challenges through three engaging board games, exploring hazards, risks, and solutions! Let’s strategise together to build a sustainable neighbourhood and create a vibrant, resilient city!

These workshops are designed for 8-16 year olds. We welcome schools and kids with parents to drop in for the sessions.

Facilitated by Ujjvala Krishnan and Dr Manan Bhan as part of their project Heat in Bangalore at ATREE.

The timings of the two sessions are as follows:

Session 1 – Risk Radar: Climate Change in Bangalore (02:00 pm – 03:30 pm)

Session 2 – Sustain-a-City: Bangalore (03:30 pm – 05:00 pm)

Manan Bhan

Manan Bhan is a Systems Researcher & Practitioner and is currently a Fellow in Residence at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) in Bengaluru,India. His action research work at ATREE is highly diverse as well as innovative, with sustainable land use, climate action, and human well-being at its core.

Ujjvala Krishna

Ujjvala Krishna is an urban researcher working on climate action in the built environment. A architect by training, she is currently working on a project that has been exploring the effects of heat at the ward level in Bangalore city at ATREE. She is always keen to explore connections between the built, design, and policy, and negotiations between various systems involved in the process of design.
