Beneath the Turning Sky explores how we find our place in this world. How have our choices shaped what we are left with today, and what are the weighty myths, stories and headlines that trace our endless attempts to understand the cosmos?

In this workshop, participants will be given a peer-led walkthrough of Beneath the Turning Sky by Job, one of our Teen Takeover participants, following which they will be required to research and act out various time periods covered within the exhibition and depict the cycles of wonder, destruction, exploitation and creation.

Through this exercise, the hope is to help us understand the vicious cycles that we are stuck in and how to break out of them and imagine more hopeful futures.

This programme is hosted in conjunction with the Teen Takeover programme.

Job San Jose

Ever since the fifth grade,  Job San Jose has been interested in art, history, filmmaking and sociology, but had no idea where to start. When he first came to MAP, the programs exposed him to said subjects, and encouraged him to further research them on his own. Other than these, he is  also passionate about robotics.
When he heard MAP was hosting a program where teens could play an active part of the museum and organize events, he was enthusiastic and knew he had to join, not only to help him with college applications but because he wanted to pull back the curtain, understand how these events work, learn skills like event, crisis, and people management, and to understand how a professional work environment operates, functions and behaves.
