Calling all film enthusiasts for a two-day, intensive film workshop facilitated by filmmaker Koel Sen! During this, you will learn the basics of video creation, exploring topics like video production, video editing, storytelling and post-production.


The first day will cover the basics of script writing and storytelling, followed by a film screening, courses on cinematography, and group projects. The second day will focus on shooting a film, editing & post-production, and finally ending the workshop with a screening of all the films.

Laptops and smartphones are compulsory for the workshop. Seats are limited so please register soon so secure your spot.

Koel Sen

Koel Sen is a filmmaker, artist and producer based in India. Her work blends original and found footage, personal archives, text, and stills to explore collective memory, marginalised histories, and women’s roles in political movements. An alumna of FTII, India and La Fémis, Paris, her films have screened at global festivals and art platforms. Her short documentary Bahava won the Emerging Talent Award at IAWRT Philippines and screened at the Grenoble Indian Film Festival.

Her short fiction Valay premiered at IDSFFK, Kerala. A Berlinale Talent 2023, Koel developed her debut feature documentary In the Light of Darkness at the Doc Station. She has been an artist-in-residence at ADKDW, Cologne and was awarded the maecenia Grant for women artists in Frankfurt (2023).
