Illustrated Persian Manuscripts

The Deccani Painting School evolved during the latter half of the sixteenth century, almost contemporaneously to Mughal art in Northern India. It had major centres in Ahmednagar, Golkonda, Bijapur and subsequently, Hyderabad.

The series here consists of four dispersed pages of a yet to be deciphered, illustrated Persian manuscript in the Nastaliq script, most likely from the Deccani School.
