Sketchbooks – Rajan M Krishnan - Visual Storage

Rajan M Krishnan (1968–2016), born in Kerala, was a contemporary artist known for his paintings that explored themes of migration, memory and environmental degradation. His work often depicted landscapes, rural scenes and the changing natural environment of his home state. Krishnan’s art is characterised by its intricate detailing and muted tones, reflecting a deep connection to the land and a sense of loss associated with its transformation.

ಕೇರಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ರಾಜನ್ ಎಂ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ (1968-2016), ವಲಸೆ, ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಅವನತಿ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸುವ ವರ್ಣಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಸಮಕಾಲೀನ ಕಲಾವಿದರು. ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸವು ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು, ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತವರು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರ ಕಲೆಯು ಅದರ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವಾದ ವಿವರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತೆಳು ಟೋನ್ ಗಳಿಂದ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ನೆಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಆಳವಾದ ಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡಾದಾಗ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ನಷ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ.
