ಬ್ರೋಕೇಡ್ ತುಣುಕುಗಳು
Brocades are commonly created using gilt metal yarn and silk, and have always been highly prized and valued. The brocade weave is a technique that uses an extra silk weft to create embossed patterns in the base fabric. Brocades were extremely popular in the Mughal court, and were custom-designed for exclusive use. Butas, or motifs of paisley, betel leaves, trailing vines and trellises characterise these pieces and find home in the brocades of the twentieth century as well.
ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ (ಗಿಲ್ಟ್) ಲೋಹದ ನೂಲು ಮತ್ತು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಬಳಸಿ ಬ್ರೊಕೇಡ್ಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಮತ್ತು ದುಬಾರಿ ವಸ್ತ್ರ. ಬ್ರೊಕೇಡ್ ನೇಯ್ಗೆಯು ಮೂಲ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಬ್ಬು ಮಾದರಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ನೇಯ್ಗೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವುದು ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ತಂತ್ರ. ಮೊಘಲ್ ಆಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರೊಕೇಡ್ಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದ್ದವು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಬಳಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಅಭಿರುಚಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಈಗಿನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬುಟ್ಟ, ಅಥವಾ ಪೈಸ್ಲಿ, ವೀಳ್ಯದೆಲೆಗಳು, ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಂದರದ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು ಈ ತುಣುಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನೇ ಶತಮಾನದ ಬ್ರೊಕೇಡ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇವು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.
