Head of Conservation

Rajeev Kumar Choudhary

Rajeev graduated with a Masters in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management. He has developed his conservation knowledge and skills while working in conservation projects with national and international organisations like INTACH, Archaeological Survey of India, DAG and Courtauld Institute of Art, he was awarded with the prestigious Indian conservation fellowship programme at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA), and is a member of the Indian Museum Association.

At MAP he is responsible for the establishment and development of the art conservation centre, managing a team of conservators and support staff, condition assessment and documentation of artworks prior to exhibitions, travel or conservation treatment, conservation-restoration of museum objects, organising and conducting conservation training workshops and other programmes, project reporting and management.
