Ketaki Varma

Ketaki Varma is Head of Public Programming at MAP. She leads strategy, design, execution and evaluation of MAP’s public programmes across diverse formats and themes, both in-person and online, at the museum and off-site. She also oversees audience development, as well as long-term partnerships and collaborations, locally and across the region.

As a senior arts manager, Ketaki has over a decade of experience working with arts organisations in India and South Asia in conceptualising and delivering cross-disciplinary cultural initiatives, building public engagement with the arts, and creating strategies for institutional governance and growth. She is particularly interested in visual cultures of South Asia and the extraordinary ways in which they represent the social, economic, political and environmental life of the region. In addition, she practices as an occasional art writer and interviewer, with written and audio contributions in editorial platforms like Critical Collective, ASAP Art and Puree Mag.

Ketaki holds a Masters degree in Arts and Cultural Management from King’s College, London and has previously held positions at Serendipity Arts Foundation and Asia Society India Centre.
