Head of Conservation
Dr Rini Hazel Templeton is the Head of Conservation at MAP, where she serves as an academic and senior art conservator with over a decade of experience in heritage conservation and collections management. She leads conservation initiatives, exhibitions, and training programmes, with a focus on preventive care and documentation.
At MAP, Dr Templeton oversees ethical conservation practices, long-term preservation, and departmental policies. She manages the conservation laboratory and multidisciplinary teams, integrating conservation efforts into exhibitions and collections care. She holds both a Master’s and a PhD in Art Conservation, is a member of ICOM, and has received international training through ICCROM, the Courtauld Institute, and the Indo-Austrian Summer School.
