Four musicians who play on different dance floors – Ritu VK, Sandunes, Shiva Manvi and Trish Complete – come together to break down the finer elements of DJ-ing, in this conversation moderated by Surya HK, Events Manager at MAP. The session dives into the influences and inspirations that drive these DJs as practitioners of an art form that is often relegated to entertainment.
The conversation was followed by demonstrations by Ritu VK and Trish Complete who gave us a glimpse into DJ-ing from their home decks, and concluded with Sandunes taking us through a deep-listening exercise guided by atmospheric sounds recorded in the Western Ghats.
