The buta or boteh is a widely popular motif within textile traditions. In collaboration with the Cotsen Textile Traces Study Collection at the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum, this episode looks at a Kashmiri fragment and a Dorukha Kalamkari, both of which feature botehs, to unpack the varied cultural history of this motif.
