There’s more to things than meets the eye — especially art. What we see is an amalgamation of contexts, symbols, ideas and more. Join us for a free session as MAP’s Exhibitions Manager, Vineet Kajrolkar takes a deep dive into a folio from our ongoing exhibition Book of Gold: The Kanchana Chitra Ramayana of Banaras. Look closer into the folio as Vineet delves into its context, narrative, artists and making — giving us further insight into what makes the manuscript unique.

We will host two mediated sessions, one at 3:00 PM and another at 4:00 PM. Feel free to join the other session if you happen to miss one.

This event has been conceptualised as part of the exhibition, Book of Gold: The Kanchana Chitra Ramayana of Banaras. For the first time, this exhibition displays nearly 80 folios from this extraordinary illustrated manuscript of the Ramcharitmanas.
