Meghana Kuppa
Please note: Two sessions be held on the day. The first one at 3 pm and the second one at 5 pm.
If taking a close look at history interests you, this drop-in session is for you. Meghana Kuppa, co-curator of MAP’s exhibition Hello & Goodbye: Postcards from the Early 20th Century, will delve into postcards as storytellers of the past.
By unpacking the images and delicately penned messages on postcards, we can find insightful anecdotes shared between families, lovers and friends. Meghana will explore snippets of everyday life in the British Raj by going through a postcard exchange between Eloise– the wife of an English East India Company servant stationed in Calcutta in undivided India– and her aunt Jeannie.
