A Fine Arts graduate from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Shilpashree is a Bangalore-based visualartist. Her works are deeply inspired by nature and the world of flora and fauna is her constant muse. From pencil sketches to watercolours and collages, from art installations to custom artwork, her repertoire encompasses diverse media and materials.
Works from her 100-day seed challenge, which, as it’s name suggests, was inspired by the diversity of seeds, and has been featured in several websites, books, exhibitions and journals. Her works were also a part of the recent “Travelling Plants” art exhibition, inspired by the dynamism of the flora around us. Beyond her studio practice, she also conducts nature journaling workshops, using art as a medium to cultivate creativity and a deeper connection with the Natural world.
