Join us for the screening of a Marathi romantic drama, Sabar Bonda.
The film is centred around Anand, a 30-something city dweller compelled to spend a 10-day mourning period for his father in the rugged countryside of western India, where he bonds with a local farmer struggling to stay unmarried. As the mourning ends, forcing his return, Anand must decide the fate of their relationship born under duress.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with LGBTQIA+ activist Romal Laisram.
This event is part of the programming to celebrate the last month of our first permanent exhibition, VISIBLE/INVISIBLE.
