So many sounds, words, and ideas surround us everyday. If you want to bridge the gap between these three, come and explore artist Hemant Sreekumar’s experimental audio performance at MAP. In this performance, Hemant will use gerunds, a part of English grammar, and morph them using custom technology, rhythms and parts of conventional music into pure signals.

Register to attend this free event at MAP and reflect through Hemant’s performance on the interplay between our language, consciousness, and entropy.

Disclaimer:

– The performance may contain sharp unpredictable media that could be triggering for some.
– Please exercise caution if you suffer from anxiety, epilepsy, or any other condition that maybe affected by extreme retinal and acoustic stimuli. If you feel uncomfortable, please exit the performance immediately.

Hemant Sreekumar

Hemant Sreekumar, a clandestine wanderer of auditory realms, traverses the veiled corridors of sound and noise performance. His cryptic explorations unravel entropic secrets, weaving psychoacoustic textures into ephemeral tapestries. Custom software births synthetic audio, echoing microscopic whispers—intangible echoes of existence.

Within his compositions, Hemant unveils the unseen: the plural ineffable hum of electromagnetic waves enveloping us, unnoticed. Sound, his alchemical medium, evokes sensations both enriching and transformative. His spectral palette, disquieting and spectral, leaves indelible marks on consciousness. Audiences depart, haunted by indescribable echoes.
