Is your child still reminiscing about their summer vacation? Help them relive their memories at our bookmaking workshop. Join Aishwarya Arumbakkam, one of the artists featured in the Vaanyerum Vizhuthugal exhibition, in making books! The workshop is tailored for children aged between 8 to 12, and guides them to make books based on the summer vacation they just had.

Parents can help children in collecting some of the images from recent, or favourite vacations. Once you register, we will share an email ID with you to share the images with us so we can get it printed for your child. Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the workshop begins.

All materials, except for the images, will be provided.

Aishwarya Arumbakkam

Facilitator

Aishwarya Arumbakkam (b. 1988) is a multidisciplinary visual artist who works across photography, filmmaking, and drawing. An artist from Chennai, India she graduated with an MFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas, Austin. She studied at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and at Pathshala, Dhaka. Arumbakkam was honored as one of the ‘Ones to Watch’ by the British Journal of Photography in 2019. In 2020, she was awarded the Magnum Foundation Photography and Social Justice Fellowship. Her work has been exhibited at Testsite, Austin (2023); The South London Gallery (2022); The Visual Arts Center, Austin (2022, 2020); and Ishara Art Foundation, Dubai (2021).
