Make Your Own Zine:
An interactive zine making workshop with artist and designer Shreyas R. Krishnan
Can a zine be a diary entry, a letter, or a way to capture your thoughts on something? Join illustrator Shreyas R. Krishnan and make a small zine that explores your own thoughts, questions and ideas using artworks in the MAP collections.
In this virtual interactive workshop, Shreyas will demonstrate a simple folding technique to turn a single sheet of paper into a tiny booklet (with no binding!) and share examples of how to use a zine like a sketchbook or diary. You will also make your own zine!
This workshop has been specially designed and curated for 14-18 year olds.
Paper (any size; make sure you feel comfortable folding your paper down a few times), Something to draw with, Scissors, Old magazines / pictures you can cut and use and Glue

Shreyas R. Krishnan is an illustrator-designer from Chennai, who is interested in the ways visual culture and gender intersect. Her non-fiction work is rooted in research, and takes on the form of comics, zines, and documentary drawings. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, USA
