Ashwitha Jayakumar and Nikhil Gulati
From the arrival of warrior-adventurer Babur in 1526 to the defeat and exile of the figurehead emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, the Timurids, better known to us as the Mughals, dominated India for three turbulent centuries.
The ebbs and flows of their lives shaped the empire they ruled, and their love of art, music, poetry and beautiful things left behind a rich legacy that continues to shape how India is seen, both at home and abroad.
Come listen to author Ashwitha Jayakumar and illustrator Nikhil Gulati, as they share their favourite stories about the Mughals as well as how they approached narrating the history of the complex empire of the Timurids in The Book of Emperors: An Illustrated History of the Mughals.
