In this mindful-journaling workshop, Shubhashree Sangameswaran hopes to nudge participants to take a peek under the hood of their beautiful, multi-faceted, complex selves.

Using a set of creative prompts, the workshop will encourage introspection of how we see ourselves, how we see ourselves in relation to others, and what we aspire for ourselves. Participants will explore these questions through a range of various mediums – including watercolours, crayons, collage and illustrations.

Limited spots available.

This workshop is organised as part of the programming around Mindscapes: In the company of others.

Shubhashree Sangameswaran

Visual Artist and Writer

Shubhashree Sangameswaran is a visual artist, writer, student, mother, wife, and a daughter amongst other things and is currently exploring who she is beneath all these labels. She is at present training in Expressive Arts Therapy, and thinks the world would be a much happier place if we could all really allow ourselves to spend more time just playing and having fun. Visual Journaling and sustainability are things close to her heart.

She recently published Slowing Down: An Art Journal for Mindfulness which has 52 prompts that inspire you to slow down, be present and play. She’s also written books on sustainability published by Hachette India: The Everyday Eco-warrior and (Im)Perfectly Zero-Waste.

In 2018, while trying to educate herself on living a low-waste life, she worked on a personal project, which turned into a couple of illustrated books, which she calls her Let’s Talk Trash Project. It remains one of her most popular books and her most favourite thing she’s created to date.
