Join us for a fun sculpture making workshop that explores using ordinary materials creatively to play with form.
This session will begin with a walkthrough of the exhibition Outside In: Meera Mukherjee and Jaidev Baghel. Looking at the two artists’ practice, the making session will delve into sculptural forms and how everyday life scenes serve as a wellspring of artistic inspiration. It will emphasise the utilisation of materials commonly found in our daily lives, showcasing how ordinary materials can be transformed into interesting artworks.
Through the exploration of the artists Meera Mukherjee and Jaidev Baghel’s unique styles, as well as techniques, participants will gain insights into the world of sculpture-making. This workshop with Sandhya from the MAP team promises to inspire and challenge participants to create their own works of art, while gaining a deeper understanding of the artistic journeys of these two renowned artists.
At the end of the session, participants will have created their own unique sculptures, which they can take back home as a memento of their experience!
All materials will be provided and no prior artistic experience is required. This workshop is organised in conjunction with the exhibition Outside In: Meera Mukherjee and Jaidev Baghel.
This event is fully booked.
