Take a heritage tree walk through the iconic Lal Bagh botanical garden, which is home to some of the oldest and most diverse tree species. At this walk observe these giants, their origin, uses and importance in both pre-colonial and post-independence India. Observe biodiversity attracting varieties, native and non-native species, and enjoy a morning of tree identification.
Join us for a heritage walk by Kavya Chandra around Lal Bagh and be a part of this enriching experience, where you’ll gain new knowledge, as well as a newfound appreciation for the wonderful trees that stand tall all around us.
This event has been curated under Thinking Cities, MAP’s public programming theme for the quarter, and in collaboration with Heritage Beku. Through the theme, we explore and reimagine cities through the lenses of space, identity, history, memory and more.
This walk will take 1.5 hours starting, near Hopcoms (Lal Bagh Nursery Gate).
Registrations for this event are now closed.
This event is fully booked.
