Who would have thought that a simple paper card would revolutionise communication?
MAP’s exhibition Hello & Goodbye: Postcards from the Early 20th Century explores themes of lived experiences and the Western perception of Undivided India, through a collection of postcards. Delving into the dynamics between print culture, colonial propaganda and the question of identity, these tiny objects offer a glimpse into life in the early 20th century.
Join us for two special guided walkthroughs of this interactive exhibit:
– Hindi (3:00 – 4:00 PM)
– Kannada (4:30 – 5:30 PM)
Learn more about how postcards can tell a story about an entire generation of people, through these guided walks.
This event is conceptualised under our exhibition Hello & Goodbye: Postcards from the Early 20th Century.
