Dr. Nandita Iyer is a medical doctor with a fellowship in applied nutrition. She is passionate about wellness, nutrition, writing and music. Her blog saffrontrail.com on healthy vegetarian cooking is over 15 years old. Iyer’s first book The Everyday Healthy Vegetarian with over 100 recipes was a bestseller. She writes a fortnightly column in Mint Lounge.
She is also the author of the book Everyday Superfoods (Bloomsbury India, 2021), which is a helpful guide on how one can introduce superfoods to the everyday diet. It elaborates on a step-by-step approach to improving your relationship with food, enriching the diet with superfoods, 39 local superfoods explained in detail, getting practical with menu plans, superfood swaps, shopping, cookware and more and 60 easy superfood recipes.
She is a trained classical music singer and continues to learn Hindustani classical vocals. She is in pursuit of slow living and mindfulness in everyday life, which she shares in her fortnightly newsletter called Sattva.
