Enter a new world as a different organism! Symbiotica Vol. 2 is an XR-experience created by MAP’s Artists-in-Residence, Juan Ferrer and Natalia Cabrera.
Keeping microorganisms and interactive storytelling at the heart of their talk, the artists will share their inspiration and creative process. After the talk, audience members are invited to engage with a prototype of Symbiotica Vol.2 through an XR experience to consider the world from a non-human perspective.

Juan Ferrer and Natalia Cabrera
Juan Ferrer and Natalia Cabrera are interdisciplinary artists whose works explore the microscopic world to learn sustainable, cooperative, and caring ways of relating. Based in Brooklyn and Barcelona respectively, their collaborative projects push the boundaries of science communication and immersive storytelling. Both artists are part of the Spatial Affairs residency, a joint programme between the cultural institutions HEK (House of Electronic Arts) in Basel, Switzerland, MAP — Museum of Art & Photography in Bangalore, India, Tabakalera International Center for Contemporary Culture in San Sebastián, Spain.
