Kaavya Sanje
An evening of embodied poetry performance by Kaavya Sanje with Mamta Sagar, Reshma Ramesh, Shashank Johri, Siddartha M.S, Chand Pasha, Dadapeer Jyman and Hajeera Khanum.
For Kaavya Sanje, poetry and translation are tools to bring diverse communities together to voice their socio-political concerns and call for social change. Having performed at rural and urban spaces, and at several international literary festivals, these poets have bridged linguistic gaps between audiences by reading and translating poems from around the globe. Through their work, they build and celebrate a more than symbiotic relationship between poetry and social change with a hope for a more inclusive, fair and equal future for everyone. Initiated by poet Mamta Sagar, this is a multilingual poetry community that aims to connect people beyond all social, political, linguistic and religious boundaries.
This Foundation Project is implemented by India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) under the Project 560 programme, made possible with support from BNP Paribas India.
The event is part of the larger programming for the exhibition VISIBLE/INVISIBLE: Representation of Women in Art through the MAP Collection.
