As cultural institutions, we all work in the interest of the public. But are we including the public’s voice?
MAP’s annual, Inclusion in Cultural Organisations Conference, supported this year by the Adobe Foundation, reaffirms our dedication to fuel the conversation around inclusion and accessibility in arts and culture. This year’s conference, will focus on the theme, Community and Culture: Co-creating Spaces of Belonging, and will be held on November 15, 2024.
We will be exploring how museums and cultural organisations can build and sustain long-term, meaningful relationships with underrepresented communities. Highlights of the conference will include a keynote speech by Arman Ali, Executive Director of NCPEDP, as well as perspectives of art organisations and communities such as Aravani Art Project, Atijeevan Foundation, Design Beku, Indian Music Experience, Khoj International Artists Association, Smileys India, Vidya India, and many more. The conference will have interactive sessions facilitated by the ReReeti Foundation, whose report, Needs & Expectations of People with Disabilities in India, can be accessed here.
This is a great opportunity to learn from the panellists, gain valuable insights, network, and share your lived experiences and perspectives in small groups.
