Art Sparks (Chinnamasta)

Shubhasree and Riya look at a painting from the late 18th to early 19th century in this episode. The painting depicts the goddess Chinnamasta, who is a part of a group of goddesses called the Maha Vidyas. They are fascinated by the cartouches that surround the painting, which depicts the various avatars of the god Vishnu; interestingly, there is a text that identifies each of the Maha Vidyas with an avatar of Vishnu.
