We all have that one object from our personal museums, heirloom or not, that we care for very much. But, how would a conservationist care for it? How do we know to look for what is right and what is not?
Join us as Dhruvika Bisht MAP’s Conservator-Restorer takes us through the conservation lab giving us a basic understanding of art conservation. Bring along a precious photograph or a treasured piece of clothing and learn how to look at an object through the eyes of a conservator. Through various activities from making condition reports to exploring home preservation techniques the session will unpack the basics of caring for our objects.
This program is exclusively for 18–25 year olds.
This session is conducted as part of our engagements for the MAP OSCH Collective. The MAP OSCH Collective is a community for young people (18-25 year olds) to engage with the arts and culture sector. The collective is for, of and by young people — to explore our shared identities and interests through art.
