MAP is delighted to announce the loan of two artworks from the collection, ‘Adi Pushp I’, 1997 and ‘Pakshi’, 1985, for the exhibition ‘Transfigurations: The Sculpture of Mrinalini Mukherjee’, curated by Peter Nagy at the National Gallery of Modern Art.

Born in Mumbai in 1949, Mrinalini Mukherjee is the daughter of renowned artists Benode Behari and Leela Mukherjee. She studied Painting at the Faculty of Fine Art, M.S. University, Baroda (1965-1970), and then studied mural design under artists including K.G. Subramanyan, receiving a Post-Diploma in the field in 1970.
