Priscilla Roxburgh oversees Communications and Public Relations at the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP). As a senior communication strategist, Priscilla has played critical roles in building teams and implementing strategies for various non-profit organisations. She started her career as a journalist in Mumbai and then worked in the UK for a decade building on her communications experience for both the education and development sector.
At the Museum of Art & Photography, Priscilla is utilising communications as a key tool to deliver MAP’s core belief that museums should play a positive role in society by improving cultural awareness and targeting groups who would not otherwise come into contact with the arts. She is also implementing processes to establish and strengthen a museum-going culture and ensuring that the organisation is part of the community through inclusive programming, education and outreach.
A special area of focus for Priscilla is creating communication tools to help persons with disabilities access the arts, in line with MAP’s vision to be one of the most inclusive museums in the country.
